UltraTech up 2%, at 52-wk high

The stock gained 2 per cent to close at a 52-week high of Rs 905.80 on reports that cement prices will increase in the first quarter of the calendar year 2010 due to rise in infrastructure activity.

Cement stocks have been on a roll recently after a spate of price hikes effected by cement makers in the southern and western India. The stock has outperformed the market in the past one month by advancing 22 per cent, as compared to the 1 per cent fall in the Sensex.
