Upmove continues, Sensex up 168pts

The Sensex is now up 168 points at 11,044.

Ranbaxy has surged over 4% to Rs 393. HDFC has rallied 3.5% to Rs 1,233.

HDFC Bank has advanced 3% to Rs 802. Reliance Communications and Bharti Airtel have surged 2.5% each to Rs 274 and Rs 403, respectively.

ICICI Bank, NTPC, Infosys and Tata Motors have advanced over 2% each to Rs 560, Rs 123, Rs 1,700 and Rs 773, respectively.

Out of 2,419 stocks traded, 1,690 have advanced, 665 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
