Upmove continues; Tata Steel surges 6%

The Sensex is now up 332 points at 14,124.

The NSE Nifty is up 78 points at 4,268.

Tata Steel has soared 5.7% to Rs 617, and HDFC Bank has rallied 5% to Rs 1,080.

HDFC and Satyam have surged nearly 4% each to Rs 2,186 and Rs 383, respectively. ICICI Bank has gained 3.7% at Rs 630.

SBI, Wipro and Reliance Infrastrucutre have gained around 3.5% each at Rs 1,366, Rs 417 and Rs 939, respectively.

Bharti Airtel has advanced 3.3% to Rs 805. Grasim and
Reliance Communications have gained over 3% each at Rs 1,845 and Rs 505, respectively.

 

BHEL and Tata Power have surged nearly 3% each to Rs 1,638 and Rs 1,073, respectively.

Jaiprakash Associates and Tata Power have moved up 2.7% each to Rs 158 and Rs 408, respectively.

Ranbaxy and Infosys are up around 2.5% each at Rs 487 and Rs 1,578, respectively.

NTPC has plunged 4.5% to Rs 170. ITC and Hindustan Unilever are down over 1% each at Rs 188 and Rs 235, respectively.
