US markets end mixed; Indian ADRs up

US markets ended mixed on Friday.

The Dow slipped 34 points to 8,438. The Nasdaq, however, added eight points to 1,838.

Indian ADRs were mostly up. HDFC Bank surged 6% to $105.93.

Sterlite and Tata Communications gained 5% each to $12.7 and $19.5, respectively. ICICI Bank added 4.5% to $30.89.

Wipro moved up 3.7% to $11.89. Infosys advanced 2.5% to $37.66.

However, Satyam shed 3.5% to3.22. Patni Computers dropped over 2% to $10.65.
