US mkts rally, Satyam gains 4%

US indices bounced back sharply from the Monday's correction as stocks surged following strong consumer confidence. While Dow Jones advanced 78 points to 10,854, the Nasdaq jumped 23 points to close at 2,177.

Indian ADRs also joiney the rally and ended with decent gains. Satyam notched up nearly 4% gains to $24.85. While Infosys moved up nearly 2% to $70.25, Wipro was up a per cent at $25.23.

ICICI Bank gained 2.51% to $20.45. While HDFC Bank and VSNL closed up a per cent each at $44.20 and $10.47 respectively, Dr. Reddy's finished unchanged at $19.51.
