Zinc weaken on lower global trend
Subdued demand also pressrised prices

Amid weakening global trend and subdued domestic demand, zinc prices traded down by 0.52% to Rs 106.05 per kg in futures trade today.
At the MCX, zinc for delivery in May month traded lower by 55 paise, or 0.52% to Rs 106.05 per kg in business turnover of 3028 lots.
The June contract weakened by 45 paise, or 0.42%, to Rs 106.45 per kg in 1,478 lots.
Market analysts said apart from weak trend in the base metals in overseas markets, subdued domestic demand mainly kept pressure on zinc prices at futures market.
Meanwhile, zinc declined 0.9% to $1,897.75 a metric tonne on the London Metal Exchange.
