The Supreme Court on Tuesday dismissed dentist couple Rajesh and Nupur Talwars' plea seeking reports of the polygraph, narco-analysis and brain-mapping tests conducted on their three helpers who were initially accused of murdering their daughter Aarushi.

According to television reports, refusing the plea, a two-judge bench of the apex court comprising of Justices B S Chauhan and S A Bobde said there was no merit in it.

Earlier, the CBI had told the apex court that the Talwars' were trying all possible delaying tactics so that the judge would retire before completing the trial and pronouncing the verdict.

The Talwars' are facing trial for killing their daughter. They had pleaded that these reports were essential to defend themselves in the case

Aarushi, 14, was found dead with her throat slit at her Noida residence on May 16, 2008. The body of their domestic help, Hemraj, was recovered from the terrace a day later.
