After Gujarat, mild tremors jolt Punjab

Hours after an earthquake of 4.7 on the Richter scale hit Surat district in Gujarat, mild tremors were felt in North India on Sunday evening.

As reported, an earthquake of 4.4 magnitude on the Richter scale shook north India, especially Amritsar.

The tremors at 5:24 p.m. were also felt across Lahore in Pakistan.

However, as of now, no loss of life and property has been reported.

The Gujarat earthquake occurred at 9:24 a.m. having its epicentre 24 kms north-west of Surat.
