Amanmani Tripathi sent to three-day CBI custody

The Saket Sessions on Saturday handed over (SP) leader Amanmani Tripathi to the (CBI) in three-day police custody in connection with the of his wife Sara.

Amanmani counsel K. Ansari told the media that the has not presented the post-mortem report before the so far.

Earlier, the CBI Tripathi, son of jailed former UP minister Amarmani Tripathi, in connection with the alleged of his wife Sara.

Sara died on July 9 when the car she was travelling in with Amanmani met with an accident on Highway-2 in Firozabad district.

Amanmani, who miraculously escaped unhurt, was subsequently arrested, as he was absconding in a kidnapping case lodged against him in August last year.

Sara's mother Seema Singh alleged that her daughter was killed at the behest of Amarmani - who, along with his wife Madhumati, is serving life sentence in poet Madhumita Shukla's case.
