Asaram's spokesperson alleges 'conspiracy' after witness shot at

Following the shooting of a main witness in self-styled godman Asaram's molestation case,his spokesperson Neelam Dubey on Saturday said every time the case comes close to bail, something like this happens.

"Every time we come close to bail, something like this happens. This is a plot, this is why we requested security for witnesses," said Dubey.

The witness, Ram Kripal, was shot while he was on his way home from the market by two unidentified men in Shahjahanpur last night.

"Ram Kripal was shot and was immediately taken to the district hospital for primary treatment. From there he was referred to Bareilly. We are looking at the crime scene and investigating everything," said Bablu Kumar, Superintendent of Police, Shahjahanpur.

He assured that action will be taken against whoever is responsible for the crime.
