Being single is helping my career, says Katy Perry

Singer Katy Perry, who has dated some of the biggest names of entertainment industry, has revealed that singlehood is now helping her career in a big way.
The 32-year-old singer believes that being not attached to anyone has allowed her to concentrate on her career and balance her world tour with starring on 'American Idol', reports Contactmusic.
In a recent interview to an entertainment channel, the 'Chained to the Rhythm' hit-maker said, "I'm a bit younger in heart! I'm a bit more mature. Single! You know, when you're single, you got a lot of time to yourself and a lot of energy, and I'm just finding a delicate balance."
Perry was married to comedian Russell Brand from 2010 until 2012 and has also dated the likes of John Mayer and Orlando Bloom.
The Pop-sensation also conceded that her fellow 'American Idol' judges, Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan, have helped to ease some of the pressure on her.
"These guys are pulling a lot of the weight," noted Perry.
The new season of 'American Idol' will air in 2018.
