ANI New Delhi

A church in the Vikaspuri area of the national capital has been vandalized by unidentified men early on Wednesday morning.

CCTV footage captured the men arrive at the Church on two-wheelers and desecrate the statue of Virgin Mary.

This incident is third such attack on a Church in Delhi.

Meanwhile, Delhi Archbishop Anil JT Cuoto requested Prime Minister Narendra Modi to help quell the recent spate of religion related crimes in the national capital.

"We request local authorities to take adequate measures to book miscreants who are threatening to weaken the social fabric," Archbishop said.

"Clear pattern of orchestrated attacks on churches is emerging as more churches are vandalized and set on fire," he added.

The Archbishop also expressed his concern at continued silence of the Prime Minister on attacks on churches and provoking Hindutva remarks by his party men.
