Djokovic battles past Seppi to reach US Open fourth round

World number one Novak Djokovic produced a rich vein of form to defeat Andreas Seppi in straight sets to reach the fourth round of the US Open at Flushing Meadows.
Djokovic overcame his Italian opponent 6-3, 7-5, 7-5 in a match that lasted two hours and 28 minutes. The Serbian will next face Spain's Roberto Bautista Agut in the fourth round.
Meanwhile, 14-time Grand Slam champion Rafael Nadal squandered a two-set lead to go down 6-3, 6-4, 4-6, 3-6, 4-6 to Fabio Fognini of Italy in the third round on Saturday.
