China has reportedly warned Microsoft that any attempts to obstruct its anti-trust investigation would be a bad move.

A statement released by China's State Administration for Industry and Commerce (SAIC), which ensures competition in the Chinese market, although did not accuse Microsoft of obstructing the probe but clarified that the company had promised to respect Chinese laws and co-operate fully, reported CNET.

The agency had raided several Microsoft offices in China last week and launched an anti-trust investigation after it felt that the tech giant's products failed to meet the country's requirements on compatibility and document authentication and forced Chinese consumers to use more Microsoft products than they would otherwise.
