Emir of Sharjah pardons 149 Indian prisoners

External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj on Tuesday informed that the Emir of Sharjah has pardoned 149 Indian prisoners accused of minor offences.

Swaraj took to Twitter to inform about the kind gesture by Emir of Sharjah.

"HH the Emir of Sharjah has been pleased to grant pardon to 149 Indian prisoners accused of minor offences. We thank His Highness the Emir of Sharjah for this kind gesture," Swaraj said in a series of tweets.
