Google is reportedly testing a new tablet, according to a Chrome bug-tracking website.

The tech site Myce picked on details on Chromium, a Google site dedicated to tracking bugs in the Chrome browser, that indicate Google could be ironing out the wrinkles on a new tablet, CNET reports.

While there is no concrete data to substantiate the information, the code name of "flounder" at the bottom of the page under the build fingerprint suggests that the company is testing a Nexus product.

Myce deduces that Google was using software from May 6, sparking speculations that the device could hit the market by next month.

The report adds that an 8.9-inch tablet will enter volume production in July or August and go on sale later in the year.
