India successfully test-fired the night user trial of the nuclear-weapons capable Agni-I surface-to-surface ballistic missile off the Odisha coast late on Friday.
The missile was test-fired from launch complex number four of the Integrated Test Range (ITR) of Wheeler Island at 11: 10 p.m. on Friday.
It is for the first time that the Agni-1 missile has been launched during the night.
Weighing 12 tonnes, the 15-metre-long, the Agni-I, which can carry payloads up to 1,000 kg, has already been inducted into the Indian Army.
