Pakistan resorted to unprovoked firing across the Line of Control in the Poonch sector, a defence ministry spokesman said on Tuesday.
In a statement released here, Lt. Col. Manish Mehta, PRO (Defence), said that at 9.45 a.m., Pakistani troops had resorted to small arms fire.
He said that the Indian troops retaliated appropriately, and added that one soldier had suffered a grazed bullet injury.
He said the soldier's condition was stable till last reports came in.
