Barely two months after scooping out 10 million dollar Series A from Sequoia Capital and Tiger Capital, on-demand, Indian startup Grofers has now raised another 35 million dollars from the same investors.
The fresh capital brought the total raised by Grofers so far to about 45.5 million dollars. The funds are expected to be used to increase the number of consumable items, including groceries, that the firm offers, reported TechCrunch.
The news came after Grofers acquired My Green Box, a grocery delivery app, for an unknown amount, last week. The firm, which currently partners with 400 merchants, has been using its funds to expand its business.
