Pakistani troops also resorted to heavy overnight shelling in Poonch and Balakote sectors of Jammu and Kashmir.

The firing started in Poonch at 9 p.m. and continued till four in the morning, while in Balakot sector it began at 9.15 p.m. and lasted till 1.30 a.m.

BSF troops retaliated appropriately to the firing.
