Jammu and Kashmir, Shot Dead, Pulwama, Terrorists

Terrorists on Monday evening shot dead a policeman in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district.

Terrorists barged into the residence of the cop at Hanjan-Payeen in Pulwama district and fired upon him, leaving him critically injured.

The policeman identified as Sameer Ahmad Mir, son of Wali Mohammad, a resident of Hanjan-Payeen, Pulwama district, was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment where he succumbed to his injuries.

"Sameer sustained critical gunshot wounds in the firing and was evacuated to a nearby hospital for treatment, where he succumbed to his injuries," police said. Police have registered a case and initiated investigations in the matter.
