Janata Dal (United) MLAs' have filed a complaint against BJP leader O P Dhankar, for his statement on women in Bihar.
Ashok Kumar Singh, a JDU MLA said, "O P Dhankar has done an offence by giving such a statement. Sushil Modi has justified Dhankar's statement. So, Sushil Modi should also be punished along with Dhankar."
"After collecting the statements of Sushil Modi, we will file a complaint against him as well," he added.
Deputy Superintendent of Police, Mohd. Shibli Nomani said, "We have just received the application and are looking into the matter."
O P Dhankar gave a statement that the party would get girls from Bihar to ensure that men in Haryana can get married.
Reacting to his statement, Modi had said, "He (Dhankar) has said that this buying and selling of girls will be stopped and proper marriages will be carried out. Therefore there is nothing wrong in this statement,"
He said there have been numerous cases that have come into light where girls from Bihar were taken by Haryana people by giving money to their families.
