The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday lashed out at the Janata Parivar, which staged a protest today against the government, by terming it a 'confederation of losers'.

The party said it was hilarious that the Janata Parivar was preaching about good governance because if they were concerned about good governance then they would have allowed the Parliament to function.

"Janata Parivar is nothing but a confederation of losers. It is hilarious that today Janata Parivar is preaching what good governance is. If all these people were concerned about good governance then they should have allowed the Parliament to function, which they did not allow," BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra told ANI here.

Taking a dig at Lalu Prasad Yadav, who had earlier today made a scathing speech criticizing the Central Government, Patra said, "Of all, Lalu Prasad Yadav, the first disqualified Member Of Parliament of India is teaching the meaning of good governance."

The Janata Parivar staged a protest at Jantar Mantar today over black money, unemployment, farmer issues and communal tensions in the country.

The protest is being led by Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav.
