As many as four prisoners escaped from Kalburgi Central Prison in Karnataka in early morning hours on Wednesday and the police have launched a search operation to nab the accused.
As per preliminary information, they drilled the barrack wall and then jumped from the compound wall.
The accused are Shiv Kumar, Sunil Kumar, Tajuddin and Laxman.
Shiv Kumar is facing charges of murder, while the rest are facing rape charges.
