Lankan journalist killed by elephant in Minneriya National Park

A journalist in Sri Lanka's Minneriya National Park has been killed after he was attacked by a wild elephant.

According to the Daily Mirror, 43-year-old Priyantha Ratnayake was covering incidents of wild elephant attacks when he was attacked in the area.

He succumbed to his injuries soon after he was admitted to the Hingurakgoda Hospital.
