Mumbai on Wednesday mourned the massive earthquake that struck Nepal, holding a candle light vigil in memory of the victims.
People were seen holding placards with messages such as 'Pray for Nepal', 'Rebuild Nepal', 'Every day is a new beginning' and 'Our hearts go out to Nepal'. They also offered prayers and paid tributes to those who lost their lives in earthquake.
"This is a candle march for the Nepal earthquake which was very devastating. We are looking forward to having as many participants as possible. We want to pray for them and their future," said Anmol, one of the youths participating in the candle march.
Saturday's earthquake, which measured 7.9 on the Richter scale,
reportedly resulted in the deaths of over 5,200 people and was one of
the worst calamities suffered by Nepal in over 80 years.
