Revellers of South African outdoor rock festival, Oppikoppi, don't need to line up for a drink because a flying robot will drop them beer by a parachute.
The clients just have to place an order using a smartphone app, and a drone is going to fly 15m above the heads of the festival-goers to deliver the goods, News24.com reported.
Carel Hoffmann, director of the Oppikoppi festival, said that the app tracks the position of the clients using the GPS satellite chips on their phones.
The drone built in South Africa has been nicknamed 'Manna' after the Biblical story of bread falling from the sky to feed the Israelites travelling through the desert following their exodus from Egypt.
The free beer is dropped in plastic cups.
