Indonesia's Ambassador to Pakistan, Burhan Muhammad, who was on a military helicopter that crashed earlier this month, has died after battling severe burn injuries, said that country's foreign minister.
According to Dawn, Burhan, his wife and other ambassadors, was aboard the military helicopter when it crashed on May 8 and set a school building on fire in the Gilgit area of northern Pakistan.
Burhan's wife, the Norwegian and Filipino ambassadors and the wife of the Malaysian envoy died immediately.
Paying tributes to Burhan, Indonesian Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi said the country had lost one of their best diplomats.
Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif also offered his condolences and expressed deep grief over Burhan's death.
