PM Modi bats for 'irreversible action' against terrorism in telephonic conversation with Turkish President

NarendraModi on Monday underscored the importance of initiating "immediate, demonstrable, and irreversible action" against by all "concerned countries" in a telephonic conversation with Turkish RecepTayyipErdogan.

Erdogan extended condolences to the victims of the recent terrorist attacks in and wished speedy recovery to those injured in the attacks.

During the telephonic conversation, noted that remains "one of the gravest threats to global peace and security."

40 CRPF personnel were killed in an attack carried out by Pakistan-based terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) in South Kashmir's Pulwama on February 14.

As many as 48 countries had stood in support of and expressed grief at the loss of lives in the attack, including the United States, United Kingdom, China, and Germany, to name a few.
