Prime Minister Narendra Modi has wished his Singapore counterpart Lee Hsien Loong, who has been diagnosed with prostate cancer, a successful surgery and a speedy recovery.
Prime Minister Modi took to twitter yesterday to convey his wishes.
"Dear @leehsienloong, hoping you have a successful surgery and a quick recovery. My good wishes to you," Prime Minister Modi tweeted.
The 63-year-old Singapore Prime Minister, who was diagnosed with prostate cancer last month, had announced on Sunday that he would undergo a robot-assisted keyhole procedure to remove his prostate gland today.
This is the second time that Lee has suffered cancer. He was diagnosed with lymphoma in 1992.
