President accepts U.P. Governor B.L.Joshi's resignation

President Pranab Mukherjee has accepted the resignation of Uttar Pradesh Governor B.L. Joshi.

The president has appointed Dr. Aziz Qureshi, the Governor of Uttarakhand, to discharge the functions of the Governor of Uttar Pradesh, in addition to his own duties, until regular arrangements for the office of the Governor of Uttar Pradesh are made, a Rashtrapati Bhavan release said.
