President Pranab Mukherjee on Sunday said that cinema in India crosses all boundaries of region, caste, creed and religion, as he presented the 62nd National Film Awards in national capital.
Also present at the occasion were Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting Arun Jaitley and Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore.
Stating that Indian movies showcase the multicultural diversity of the country, President Mukherjee said that cinema in India crosses all boundaries of region, caste, creed and religion.
The President further urged the film industry to work together to help nurture universal human values, which celebrate diversity and nurture inclusiveness.
