Prince William is surely following his mother Princess Diana's footsteps to bring awareness to homeless youth in England via their year-old organisation Centrepoint that provides safe place to live for thousands of young people every year.

The Duke of Cambridge said during his speech at the first annual Centre point awards in London that he being a patron of the organisation makes sure that youngsters of England get a roof to live under as being homelessness is more worse than being jobless, People Magazine reported.

The 33-year-old son of Prince Charles added that a person's long-term mental and physical health, education and sense of self-worth can also be at risk after being homeless.

Interestingly, William in December 2009 spent one night on the streets with the charity's chief executive, Seyi Obakin.
