Rahul Gandhi to meet Congress workers in Rajkot

Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi is scheduled to address a meeting of office-bearers of local party units in Rajkot today.

Gandhi, who is on a two-day tour of Gujarat, will also hold discussions with the members of the Gujarat Pradesh Congress Committee.

Gandhi had earlier on Thursday visited Mahatma Gandhi's Sabarmati Ashram in Ahmedabad.

He also interacted with office-bearers of the state Congress, Youth Congress and NSUI, the party's students' wing.

The Congress Vice-President's visit to Gujarat can be seen as an attempt by him to boost the morale of the party workers ahead of the 2014 Lok Sabha polls.
