Fashion designer Rahul Mishra unveiled his bridal wear collection called 'Tree of Life', on the second day of Amazon Indian Couture Week.
The 35-year-old ace designer described his collection as functional couture and dedicates it to today's multitasking modern women.
Rahul said, "I am really inspired by today's women. The way they multitask and delve according to the roles is very impressive. They are strong and bold but love their feminineside as well. Similarly, depicting them, my collection has bomber jackets with very feministic piece within it."
The collection traverses from hand embroidered floral patterns to sheer handloom textiles that seeks to create a harmony with sharp tailoring and ultra-lux sportswear.
The designer seeks to blend international with traditional techniques and create a piece which can be mix-matched and worn according to one's own style.
Mishra has used Silk, Chanderi, Organza, a bit of wool and few other fabrics for his edgy and traditional silhouettes
The collection had dresses, gowns and several mix matches with detailed embroidery on it which is inspired by 'Chintz' textiles and were in off-white, red and golden color palette. One can look out for his bomber jackets and jumpers with floral lehengas, cape, jackets and saris.
