Representatives of 'Girl Rising' campaign call on PM Modi

Representatives of a global action campaign to educate and empower girls, 'Girl Rising', called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday.

The representatives included Ambassador of Girl Rising India Freida Pinto and vice-president of Global Programs for Girl Rising Samantha Wright.

The representatives appreciated the Prime Minister's 'Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao' initiative.

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister said the 'Girl Rising' campaign in India should focus on the problem of female foeticide.
