Bayern Munich winger Franck Ribery has set his sight on winning the Ballon d'Or after he won almost all other previous awards in 2013.
Ribery, who was named European Player of the Year in 2013, insists his individual excellence and that of his club Bayern Munich means he deserves to be named the best footballer on the planet.
He helped Bayern win five trophies in 2013 - the Bundesliga title, the German Cup, the Champions League, the Uefa Super Cup and the Club World Cup
Ribery said that he played really well for his club in 2013, and now, all he can do is to wait for the awards to be announced.
Ballon d'Or awards function will take place in Zurich on Monday.

Ribery is considered to be the third favourite for the award behind Ronaldo and Messi.
Ronaldo collected the Ballon d'Or trophy for being best in the world in 2008, and current title holder Messi claimed the honour four times from 2009-2012. But neither can match the success achieved by Ribery in 2013, Sport24 reports.
In addition to the team titles, Ribery has already been honoured as the French and European footballer of the year.
