Rolling Stones star Ronnie Wood has led the tributes to Bobby Womack on Twitter, who died from unknown causes at the age of 70.
Wood said that the singer's voice could reduce him to tears, the Mirror reported.
R and B star Calvin Richardson also paid tribute to the American singer, whose career spanned seven decades.
Womak's musical career began with Curtis Womack and the Womack Brothers with his brothers Curtis, Harry, Cecil and Friendly, Jr.
