Rs. 1.2 crore in demonetised currency seized in Tamil Nadu's Karaikudi

Demonetised currency notes worth Rs 1.2 crore were seized on Friday from a boarding lodge in Tamil Nadu's Karaikudi.

Four were detained in this connection. They used a Chennai registered car for travelling.

Further investigation is underway in Karaikudi police station.

Police said central government officials had also been informed of the seizure.
