Sania-Dodig defeat Hingis-Paes to reach Australian Open semis

Indian tennis ace Sania Mirza and her Croatian partner Ivan Dodig displayed a dazzling performance as the top-seeded pair stormed into the Australian Open semifinals in the mixed doubles event on Thursday.

The Indo-Croatian pair claimed a 7-6 (7), 6-3 win over defending champions Leander Paes and Martina Hingis in a thrilling contest that lasted 73 minutes.

Meanwhile, Sania secured her spot in the final of the women's doubles event with Hingis after the Indo-Swiss duo extended their winning streak to 35 on Wednesday.
