'The Lion King' Musical's earning touches $1b

Broadway musical The Lion King's total touring box office gross in North America has reached 1 billion dollars.

According to producers, more than 15 million theatergoers in over 70 cities across North America have watched the musical since 2002, the Huffington Post reported.

Says Jack Eldon, a vice president at Disney Theatrical Productions, said that they remain overwhelmed by their patrons' response towards the show.
