Tremors felt in parts of Islamabad, K-P

Strong tremors of 5.5 magnitude were felt across Islamabad and parts of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) on Saturday.

According to the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) K-P, the quake measured 5.5 on the Richter scale, while its epicenter was the Hindu Kush, reports the Express Tribune.

Reports suggest that the quake hit many areas, including Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Malakand and Hazara among others.

Many have been evacuated from their homes and buildings amid fears of further shocks.

So far, no loss of life or damage to property has been reported.
