Trump speaks to Saudi king, urges to end Qatar dispute: White House

ANI Washington D.C. [U.S.A.]

U.S. President Donald Trump spoke with Saudi King Salman and urged all the parties in the Qatar dispute to find a diplomatic resolution to end a crisis.

The white House, in its statement, said that the president urged parties to find solution that follows through on their commitments made at the Riyadh Summit, to maintain unity while fighting terrorism.

King Salman praised the resilience of the communities affected by Hurricane Harvey and offered his condolences to the families who have lost loved ones in the flood.

Both the leaders discussed the need to defeat terrorism, cut off terrorist funding and combat extremist ideology.

Saudi Arabia, together with Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Egypt, have cut ties with Qatar, accusing the latter of supporting terrorism and maintaining ties with Iran.
