UK bride chooses mare as bridesmaid

In an unconventional but touching move, a UK bride chose a thoroughbred mare, called Toffee, as one of her bridesmaids after receiving permission to get married from her.

Alex Wells, 28, said that Toffee is part of her family and is so important to her that she even asked her permission to tie the knot, Metro.co.uk reported.

Meanwhile, Wells' new husband Graham Sales, 29, said that his new bride goes to see Toffee twice a day and will spend weekends with her, so he is left competing with her for Wells' attention.
