Watermelon festival held in Imphal

The 7-day long 3rd State level watermelon festival was recently held at the campus of Iboyaima Shumang Lila Shanglen

The festival was organised by The Nahakpam Foundation for Development (NFD) under the initiative of MIDH, Department of Horticulture.

Altogether 16 stalls were put up at the venue.

Such festivals aim to bridge the gap between farmers and consumers, besides encouraging the farmer to take up watermelon cultivation.
