'Wonderful' to be in Nepal again: PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday expressed his happiness at the reception accorded to him on his arrival in Nepal, adding that it was 'wonderful' to visit the federal democratic republic again.

The Prime Minister took to twitter to express his feelings."Wonderful to be in Nepal again! I can never forget the warmth with which I have been welcomed here," he wrote.

Prime Minister Modi also shared some of the activities he undertook during the day."Handed over the DHRUV Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH) Mark III to Nepal," he wrote.

"On board the bus service that connects India and Nepal even further," he added, also posting a picture of himself on board the New Delhi-Kathmandu bus service that he had flagged off earlier in the day.

 

Prime Minister Modi also posted a few details of the talks he held with his Nepalese counterpart Sushil Koirala.

"With PM Koirala. We had a very good meeting, discussed ways to strengthen India-Nepal relations," he tweeted, also adding a picture of him with Prime Minister Koirala.

"The various agreements and MoUs signed today will give a renewed impetus to India-Nepal relations," he added.

Prime Minister Modi is in Nepal to attend the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) Summit, which is beginning on November 26.

In a statement prior to his departure for Nepal, Prime Minister Modi said that the development of close relations with India's neighbours was a key priority for his government.

This is Prime Minister Modi's second visit to Nepal in four months.
