Astec Lifesciences spurts after stellar Q2 performance

Astec Lifesciences surged 7.08% to Rs 1167.20 after the company's net profit surged 238.1% to Rs 17.85 crore on 10.5% rise in net sales to Rs 155 crore in Q2 FY21 over Q2 FY20.

Profit before tax in the second quarter stood at Rs 23.88 crore, up by 205% from Rs 7.83 crore in the same period last year. Tax expense increased by 168.2% year-on-year (YoY) to Rs 5.90 crore during the second quarter.

Astec Lifesciences makes a wide range of agrochemical active ingredients and pharmaceutical intermediates.
