Australian share market finished session higher after recovering from early losses on Monday, 19 March 2018, registering second consecutive gain in row, helped by positive leads from US and European markets. The S&P/ASX 200 index inched up 0.2%, or 10 points, to 5,959.4. Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Sydney Stock Exchange by 646 to 585 and 378 ended unchanged. The S&P/ASX 200 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of S&P/ASX 200 options, was up 3.98% to 12.196.
