Board of Coal India approves introduction of Evacuation Facility Charges

At meeting held on 19 December 2017

The Board of Coal India at its meeting held on 19 December 2017 has approved the introduction of Evacuation Facility Charges @ Rs 50 per tonne for despatch of coal on all despatches except despatch through rapid loading arrangement. This will come into force with immediate effect.

As a result, the Company would be generating approximately an additional revenue of Rs 2500 crore for the full year and approximately Rs 800 crore for the balance period of 2017-18.
