Mainland China stock market finished down on Monday, 25 April 2016, after commodity exchanges moved to cool trading in raw materials and worries that improving economic data will prevent further stimulus and corporate defaults will rise. The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index slipped 12.57 points, or 0.42%, to 2946.67. The CSI 300 Index, measuring exchanges in Shanghai and Shenzhen, fell 12.87 points, or 0.41%, to 3162.03.
